Yes You Can

YES YOU CAN – IF YOU THINK YOU CAN

Is there something you have been thinking about doing but you just keep holding back, fearing that you don't have what it takes?  You can do it if you think you can!!  You just need to develop a more positive mindset.

Yeah, sure Fran, that sounds great but you don't know my life.  You don't know how I've tried and failed, how I've been put down, walked on….

Well, maybe I do.  My life hasn't been perfect by any means.  I was married at 18 and divorced by the time I was 38.  At that time I had 4 kids 3-14 years of age to raise,  was working full time and working on my degree.  I didn't know if I could really do it but I decided to try.

When I got my first assignment back and saw the big red “F” at the top of the page, I almost gave up on the idea.  I had completely screwed up one section and got 0/20 points and then in another section the professor said I must have done the test incorrectly – another 0/20.  My kids rallied round and encouraged me with hugs and so I kept going, one assignment and one course at a time.  I graduated in 2000 after 13 years of studying.  I believed I could and I did!

So again, what is it that you have been holding back from trying?  What steps are you going to take this week believing that you can do and achieve what you want.

Remember, YES you can if you think you can.
