Procrastination and Goal Setting

Procrastination is a killer when it comes to goal setting.  It is so easy to just write everything down and look at it, but in order to achieve your goals, you need to take action and that's when procrastination can set in.

Brian Tracy said: “Committing your goals to paper increases the likelihood of your achieving them by one-thousand percent!”, so if you have written your goals down as I have, you are headed in the right direction.  However there is more to achieving them than that.

Brian Tracy gives this advice:  “Rewrite your major goals every day, in the present tense, exactly as if they already existed.”  When I look back at my list of goals, I have been accomplishing some of the minor ones, but the major goals of creating a product, setting up a funnel, etc. have been left.  Procrastination.

Goal Setting

I have been working through my list, listening to podcasts (great information, but not requiring a lot of effort on my part), reading tips (again, not requiring me to really DO anything), but last night I finally sat down and reworked something that I had in my file about Goal Chunking.  There is more to be done, but at least I got started.  Today I will create the link for the download and that will be on my blog tomorrow so that you will have a chance to check it out.

No More Procrastination

Onward and upward…have you started working on your goals yet?
