What motivates you?
Are you motivated by the feeling of accomplishment when you do something?
Or is it receiving a reward from something outside of yourself?
As we progress through each day we need something to motivate us. It might be fear of failing at something…it might be to make someone else happy…it might be finding joy in accomplishing a task.
Some of us may rquire a notebook to keep track of what our goals are to help us stay motivated. If we take the time to write down daily tasks, looking at the list can help motivate us to complete them. This is my personal method. If it isn’t in my Day Timer, often it just doesn’t get done.
It is important to be self-motivated because if the outside motivator is gone, then there is no “stick” to keep us going. That is where personal goals and planning come in. Once we have a goal, we are more motivated to accomplish our tasks.
