Looking for a Coach?

This is what Mike Kemski has to say about coaching…

Life coaches are hot right now. I hired a coach one time. It lasted 3 weeks and I've never done it since.

I've always had a “weird” thing about coaches and have never really been able to classify myself as coachable or a coach. But I do create space for people to kind of coach themselves.

I don't advertise doing private stuff with clients and never will. It's private! ?

But I have a message for people looking for a coach.

Always remember this: A great coach requires great clients who are ready to create change, willing to do what it takes without excuses to facilitate that change, courageous enough to stand toe to toe with their true power, and dedicated enough to go the distance required to complete a transformation.

If you are that person and you find a great coach, it can be the most empowering and expansive experience in your life.

There is no doubt you'll achieve your goals faster and more efficiently with the right coach in your life.

But the funny thing is, what the best coaches do is very, very little at all. They don't even really need any specialized knowledge or skill sets.

What the best coaches have is something FAR more valuable than any strategies or tactics. They have the model of the key you must make to get access to endless strategies and tactics.

The best coaches are the ones who do 2 things:

1. Create a spark. Not a flame, a spark
2. Create a space where you are free and safe to turn that spark into a raging inferno that gets powerful enough to forge new life through the ashes of the old like majestic Phoenix!(You do it, not the coach)

A great coach will actually do very little but should be paid very much.

Because a great coach is one who becomes a powerful mirror that when you stand in front of it, you see a reflection of what you could become.

You see your highest potential. You see your magic. You see your power. And you see an abundance of boundless possibility all around you.

And you can see that reflection only from a great coach because a great coach, a great LEADER, can see those things in you before you can which gives them the ability to reflect that reality, potential, and possibility back to you.

And when YOU see it through that reflection, and the spark that awareness creates ignites the fire in your heart, you start to expand internally giving you direct access to everything that is epically f'ing awesome about yourself and life itself!

A great coach is not worried about impressing anyone. They're not worried about impressing you with all of their wisdom and success. They're not loudly shouting from the rooftops of social media saying how f'ing awesome they are. They don't need to…

Because they know none of that matters and pales in comparison to how impressive your potential is and when they reflect that back to you, YOU will be the one shouting from the rooftops of social media and life about how awesome life is, including YOUR life.

A great coach is not concerned with getting accolades or praise.

A great coach wants you to win the game that you are playing.

A great coach doesn't need their ego fed with praise and recognition (but they get loads of that kind of stuff anyway without ever trying to, without ever bragging about how awesome they are, and without ever asking for it)

A great coach measures their success by your success and fulfillment.

Because the best coaches, the best leaders, and frankly the best people are the ones who want something FOR you, not FROM you.

And THOSE kinds of coaches, leaders, and people are the ones who actually do very little but should be paid the very most.

Because while they may do very little, their presence has an immeasurable impact on you and your life.

If you're a great client, and you're ready to jump, make SURE in this seemingly never ending sea of coaches, you find a great one and be willing to invest whatever it takes in time, money, and energy to gain access to the space the great ones create…”

I must say that I agree with him in so many ways.  It isn't about the praise and accolades, it is about the growth that I see in my clients, the “aha” moments that they have when they realize their potential and start running with it.

Choose your coach wisely… your life depends on it.
