8 Steps To Be More Productive:

  1. Do not wait for the perfect time or perfect conditions to act. If you create your reality, no need to wait for external conditions to change.
  2. THINK big and set huge goals. If you aim for the moon and land on a cloud, that is much more than you could have possibly dreamed of.
  3. Get rid of tools of distraction, that is; TV, video games, Facebook, Instagram etc.
  4. Make a list of everything you want to accomplish the night before. Then the next day cross off everything you’ve done. This will make you feel more productive and according to the Law of Attraction, the more productive you feel the more productive you become. This also helps you organize and structure your time efficiently.
  5. Stop multitasking. Pick one thing you want to accomplish and place your energy there.
  6. Break down your big goals into small steps. Just look at the next step in front of you.
  7. Take care of your body by exercising, getting enough sleep and eating healthy foods.
  8. Always ask yourself, “What is the highest and best use of my time.” Ask yourself this all day long. The answer that comes to your mind in the first 3 seconds is the highest and best use of your time in that present moment.

As I posted on October 4th Distractions was the theme of my writeathon project and I had a lot of them.  This particular list is helpful in breaking down what I need to do.  #3 says it all – get rid of those tools of distraction!  (Easier said than done, but I can at least make a step in this direction by limiting my time in these areas – setting a timer, turning off the TV, not playing games on my phone, etc.)

#4 I find very helpful.  In fact, I have found that when I write everything down in my Day Timer I am more focused and, therefore, more productive.  Before you go to bed, ask yourself what are the 3-6 things you need to do the next day to move your business or your life forward.

#8 is a great question to ask.  At least once an hour, when in the middle of doing something that is just putting off what you have to do.

Take some time to read the whole article here
